Mountainside is a unique dining experience for the Madison-Mayodan area. Their menu offers a good variety. Chef Michael usually changes the menu with the seasons to give Mountainside even more variety. The restaurant is very clean. The people who prepare the food and serve the food take pride in the plates they present to you. Mountainside is a non-smoking restaurant. For thoes of us who are allergic to smoke that is a plus. I saved the best part for last, with every entree you get free dessert. It's wonderful! If you're in the area give Mountainside a try.

If you want great food, great prices, great service, that special touch atmosphere combined with repeated "Grade A" health inspections this is the place to be. Chef Michael combines high class culinary skills with a welcome home environment you won't find anywhere else. You have to try it!

From Pastor Chuck Killian. I was Michael's pastor at the time of the opening of the restaurant and he asked me to offer a blessing' on the business. God has blessed Michael with a talent and flair for cooking. And I have never been disappointed. The food, the atmosphere, and the decor is worth the trip. Excellent service and superb dining at affordable prices. On top of that, you get to meet some of the finest folks in North Carolina

We have been visiting this restaurant since it opened in 2005. Wonderful food, great service and charming/cozy atmosphere. Always feel like an honored guest. Best sweet tea around! Be sure to ask Junior about his desserts. Chef Michael's got a winner here.

In 1995 my Mother died. She didnt want the usual but a party to celebrate her life and all of her friends to have a great party. I couldnt think of anyone to plan this event but Chef Michael. I got on the phone and he flew into New Orleans 3 days later. The event was just what the Boss (Mother) ordered. I have nothing but the highest praises for anything Michael does in the food line.
